WAXBOARD includes AI-assisted features that help you process information, organize workspaces, summarize materials, generate content, and reason about complex systems. This policy explains how those features use your content, what their limits are, and what is expected of you. It is part of the Terms of Use.

1. How Your Content Is Used

When you use an AI-assisted feature, WAXBOARD sends the content needed for that request to our AI infrastructure and AI service providers (OpenAI and Amazon Web Services) to generate the output you asked for.

  • No training on your content. ETG does not use your workspace content, uploads, prompts, or outputs to train AI models, and our AI providers are contractually prohibited from training on them, unless you expressly opt in or agree otherwise in writing.
  • Limited retention by providers. Our AI providers may retain request data for a limited period for abuse monitoring only, as described in the Data Retention Policy.
  • Service operation. We use logs and usage data (not the substance of your content) to keep AI features reliable, secure, and within usage limits.

2. AI Output Is Not Guaranteed

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your purpose, even when it sounds confident. It is not verified fact and is not a substitute for qualified human review.

You are responsible for reviewing and validating output before using it in engineering designs, drawings, calculations, safety-related decisions, external communications, legal or financial matters, or any other context where errors matter.

3. No Professional Advice

WAXBOARD may produce text that looks like engineering, legal, financial, security, or other professional advice. It is not. Consult a qualified professional, such as a licensed engineer of record, before relying on output in those areas.

4. Your Inputs

You are responsible for the files, prompts, and instructions you submit. Do not submit information you are not authorized to process through WAXBOARD, such as confidential client material you do not have permission to share with a service provider.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use AI features for any purpose prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy, including fraud, impersonation, phishing, malware, unauthorized surveillance, harassment, discrimination, or attempts to evade safety controls.

6. Disclosing AI Assistance

You decide when work produced with AI assistance should be disclosed to your clients, collaborators, employers, schools, or regulators, and you are responsible for following any disclosure rules that apply to you.

7. Abuse Monitoring

We use automated and manual safeguards, such as rate limits and abuse detection, to prevent misuse of AI features, consistent with the Privacy Policy.
